Yes, it's
true! after spending 6 Wonderful Years at Courtanne, it's time for the Hawke
family to move on to pastures
new.
We would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported us in this
adventure. We have made many new friends and had the experience of a
lifetime, creating our own "Place in the Sun".

Courtanne Gites is
located between the Market towns of Chef-Boutonne and
Sauzé-Vaussais in the beautiful Deux Sévres region of France.
Close to many traditional Market towns in the rural
Cœur du Poitou, yet only an hour from Cognac, Poitiers, Angoulême, Niort,
and the fabulous seafood restaurants and beaches of La Rochelle. The
area is steeped in ancient history, silver mines, Chateau, churches
& monasteries, as well as modern theme parks like Futuroscope,
Puy du Fou,
Vallée des Singes and several Zoo's. Renowned for its wonderful
sunny climate, the Poitou Charentes is home to the beautiful
Marais Poitevin with its oyster beds and fabulous seafood
restaurants, as well as locally produced Pineau, wines and
cheeses. With all there is to do at Courtanne Gites, you won't need
to venture far, with riding stables nearby, lovely walks or
cycle-rides to take around the quiet country lanes or enjoy a
horse-drawn hayride around our local villages.
