This photo explains why this building is so called. The previous owners kept their dozen chickens in there. It really was full of Rustic Charm (!)

Now the renovations are complete, it has been transformed into a luxurious studio accommodation for 2 +. The patio is gravelled, and there is a wooden handrail across the front between the doors & windows to assist balance for those who need it. It is a single storey gite which is air conditioned in Summer, and electrically heated in the colder months. The open plan interior has fully tiled floors and exposed stone walls.

L'hotel du Poulet is the perfect gite for househunters in the Poitou Charentes region because we are central in the area.

The fitted kitchen has oven and hob, microwave with grill, refrigerator with ice compartment, kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. And all the cutlery, utensils, crockery and pans you'll need are provided.

The lounge is equipped with a comfortable sofa-bed, Satellite TV, DVD and video player, as well as CD hi-fi. We have a large film and book library which you may borrow, and a pair of binoculars for those "twitchers" amongst you.

 L'Hotel du Poulet has a  luxurious double headed power-shower in the "wet-room" style, tiled shower room. (There is no  "shower basin" to step in-and-out of).  The shower area is extra wide, as is the bathroom door. This allows seated showers for those with reduced mobility, and there is a handrail to assist balance. WC, hand-basin and electric razor socket at the mirror.

You have a comfortable double bed, wardrobes, and we also provide you with a hairdryer and a multi socket 3 point UK plug adaptor.

Your own patio and garden has table, chairs, parasol, sun-loungers and a barbeque and is situated in a quiet part of the garden to allow Courtanne's tranquillity to wash over you.
