La Vieille Maison was the second of our renovation projects and was completed in June 2004 
 It is an old two storey farmhouse with 4 bedrooms upstairs,  luxurious shower-room/WC on each floor, and large, light entrance hall and upstairs landing  Located in the heart of Courtanne's 3 gites, it is perfect for larger groups who are occupying all 3 properties as the meeting place. Similarly, with each gite having it's own private garden, you will have your own peace and quiet in your own garden area. It is an imposing property with views out towards the pool, gardens and surrounding sunflower fields. There is ample parking space.

La Vieille Maison is particularly suitable for large family groups as there is a large comfortably furnished lounge, with Satellite TV, DVD & Video players & Hi-Fi and an extensive film and book library for you to use.  The welcoming entrance hall with its open-plan wooden staircase, wooden ceiling beams and exposed stone walls immediately make you feel at home.

The large, comfortable lounge is full of original features, like the potagère (the original soup-cooker), exposed stone walls (you'll spend hours searching out the fossils amongst them!) and wooden beamed ceiling. There is a wood-burning fire for the colder months, but in the summer you'll appreciate the coolness of the interior after a day in the sunshine. The comfortable chairs and sofa's (one of the sofa's is a double-convertible bed) make it a real home-from-home.

You have satellite TV, DVD & Video players with a large film library to borrow,  and stereo Hi-Fi.

There is a  large dining/kitchen furnished with traditional Buffet and long tables with chairs and benches. All crockery, cutlery and equipment is provided, and there are children's highchairs and booster seats available on request. La Vieille Maison is a self-catering gite, and you will find everything you need is supplied, however, if you have any special requirements, please contact us in advance and we will endeavor to fulfill your requests.

Upstairs (open-backed, wooden staircase with handrails) there is a large landing area leading to the 4 bedrooms and upstairs bathroom, with views from the window over the central garden and towards the pool. A child safety-gate is fixed at the top of the stairs.

The 2 front bedrooms have double beds, and are large enough to accommodate either cots the single folding camp-bed or a convertible double sofa-bed. All bed-linen is provided at Courtanne Gites.

The 2 rear bedrooms have 2 sets of bunks, with one large enough to also accommodate either 2 cots or a double convertible bed.  (Even though the potential sleeping capacity in la Vieille Maison is for more, the maximum occupancy is 12, which allows for different combinations of ages, sex & make-up of guests parties).

Each of La Vieille Maison's shower rooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) has WC, hand-basin with razor-point at the mirror  and luxurious multi-jet power-shower with basin deep enough for small children & infant's bathing. Your welcome pack includes soaps, shower-gel and shampoo sachets, as well as the towels included in the rental price.

Some gite owners charge extra for towel and linen hire. At Courtanne Gites there is NO EXTRA CHARGE for all bedroom linen, kitchen and bathroom towels.

La Vieille Maison has its own garden area next to the ancient Well (still working but securely closed) and is furnished with plenty of garden furniture, sunloungers, bench-tables and its own barbeque.
